Toy Library

STAR's multicultural resource library (MRL) holds a range of multicultural, multifaith and positive-image resources that aren't readily available elsewhere. 

There are two categories of STAR membership:

• Organisation/group membership for £30 per year (e.g. nurseries)
• Individual membership for £15 per year (e.g. childminders)

In addition, those on limited income (e.g. students, parents, etc.) will be granted a concession, reducing the annual membership fee to just £10.

Once you have become a member, you will be able to borrow as many toys as you like, as often as you like, with no additional payment required - there is no charge for the borrowing of toys. Each loan period lasts 6 weeks (roughly the length of one school half-term), but the loan period can be extended on request if this proves to be too short for your convenience.

By becoming a member of STAR you will be supporting STAR's overall aims and objectives. The fees you pay for your membership will help STAR in its stated goals of working towards the elimination of discrimination, the promotion of equality of opportunity and the desire to foster good relations between persons of different racial groups.

Whether you choose to use STAR's resources or not, by becoming a member of STAR you will be making a valuable contribution to our organisation and, by doing so, will be helping to enrich the lives of the many young children who benefit from our resources. Simply put: the more members we have, the more resources we can purchase, and the more children will benefit. By becoming a member of STAR you can have the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a difference to the lives of young children.

The toy library is usually open the first and third tuesday of the month during term times.  Check the Home page for the latest dates.
