Jigsaw Download Instructions

1. Select the puzzle you wish to download by: (a) (Jigsaws 6-12 Pieces) clicking the corresponding picture for that puzzle, or, (b) (Jigsaws 12+ Pieces) clicking the text below the picture of the jigsaw that corresponds to the number of pieces in the jigsaw. Having done this the download process will start automatically.

2. Depending on the browser you are using and the
operating system on your computer, you will be asked
whether you want to proceed with the download. This
generally requires you to click a button labelled Run,
similar to that illustrated opposite. If you are using a
browser such as Netscape or Mozilla you will be asked
to save the download file rather than run it.

3. After the download completes, the dialog box opp-
osite will appear. You will be asked to click the Unpack
button, followed by the Run button. Once you click the
Run button the jigsaw program will start up. If you saved
the downloaded program, you need to double-click the
file icon in the folder where you saved it to start this
process.

Jigsaw Play Instructions

1. Once the jigsaw program has loaded, double-click on
the picture for that jigsaw.

2. When constructing a jigsaw the opposite tool options
are displayed. The two most important tools are Picture
and Ghost.

3. Picture reveals a picture of the jigsaw you are trying to
construct. This picture can be moved around the board by
clicking and dragging and can also be resized using the square
buttons at the bottom.

4. Ghost reveals a template of the picture to help you
construct the puzzle. With young children it is recommended
that you turn on the ghost and turn off the picture to make
the jigsaw easier. Once a child has become more experienced
at doing these jigsaws then the ghost can be turned off.

5. Note: when the jigsaw is scattered some of the pieces can
get hidden behind each other and behind the tool bars. We
recommend that with small children it is best for an adult to lay
out all the pieces neatly down the sides before the child
attempts to make the jigsaw.
